i know its been discussed before but...
i was wondering how hard it would be to get a set of 17x8" wheels from a 2002 mustang to fit on a 65? theyre free so its not a big deal but is i just want to know if it is at least possible to get them to fit. they are the grey torq-thrust style ones with the mustang centercaps. thanks

I got 4 at my house im not using anymore
theyre is a guy around me at swpa meets that sells for 130$ a set of 4. I can let mine go for 105~ shipped and only used for a week! One different thing, stock 2002 wheels have NO dish, i suggest if u get whgeels, u buy some witha dish look because it looks better, the offset for those rims are actually the same as a FWDoffset( my Grand prix even fist those rims) and theyneed to stick out a littlewider. That said,i have 1.25 inch spacers and it still could use a little more out,so dish rimswould help.-Jon

im going through that process right now. i just bought four, 1-inch spacers from mustangsplus.com for $126 including shipping and tax. 1 inch is fine for the rear but i need at least a 1 1/2 inch spacer in the front. i have a program called surfcam, its a program that you draw spacers and crap in and you can use it in a CNC machine. i have access to a cnc machine so i drew up two 9/16 inch spacers and ill go get them cut. hopefully this will eliminate the wheel rubbing on the control arm and tie rod and hopefully it will not be too far that it will rub on the fender real bad.

i picked them up this morning and the look like they are brand freaking new. the tires are a little worn but whatever. so you think ill need 1.5" spacers? i tried a test fit and i was thinking i might need a little more than 1" to make them look good but i cant be sure. im just realying on you guys for this one...i cant wait to get them on though. they should look real sharp. rmodel65 do you have any more pics of your setup?
