5.0 in my 67-wanting advice
My 67 has a 5.0 and five speed from a '90 (?) installed by the previous owner. Pulls great with an Edelbrock minifold and Carb.
Anyone know anything about this swap, and what should I pay attention to when it's re-installed after the body resto?
What is the correct speedometer gear?
Will accept puuleys for V-belts if I want to relace the serpintetine types?
What kind of radioator will be best? right now it has a cobbled up radiator hose on the top.

RE: 5.0 in my 67-wanting advice
I'd take a look at what kind of clutch linkage and bellhousingsetup he went with. The 5.0 blocks don't have a boss for the factory 67 clutch linkage, so either he's using an aftermarket bracket or he went with a clutch/hydraulic conversion.
The problem with v-belt pulleys is that the factory 67 crank pulley is a 3-bolt, whereas the 68+ use 4-bolt. In addition, the factory 3-bolt balancer is going to be a 28oz while the 5.0 needs a 50oz balancer. Personally, I'd leave the serpentine setup. There's not really any advantage to running a v-belt system. However, if you do decide to convert back, you might as well pick up a 67 timing cover/water pump combo and a Powerforce balancer, which has both 3- and 4-bolt patterns on it.
If you do go back to the 67v-belt and timing cover/water pump setup, you can just use a 3-row factory replacement radiator. If you stick with the serpentine setup, you can get 5.0 conversion radiators from many Mustang wherehouses. I know Mustangs Plus sells a couple variants.

I think you should look up your block serial number and see exactly what you have there.. if its a 90 5.0 you should not have a carb, it should be EFI.. Get in there and find out what year block you have and see what you are working with first off..Even if it wont mean much because its still a 302..

5.0 does not necessarily mean EFI.
BB: If you do decide for some strange reason to go back to V-belts, keep in mind that the 5.0 serpentine system uses a reverse rotation water pump and fan.
Your speedometer gear depends on your axle ratio. If you're going to be buying a new radiator then I would suggest getting a large aluminum radiator.

Yes, it originally had EFI. The previous owner took it from a car the owner had torched for the insurance, but the engine wasn't badly damaged. He stripped the electronics off of it and replaced the EFI with a four barrel. Added some HEDD headers, and some other mods
I was considering using the older style pulley systen because I just like the look better, but I'm not set on it. Sounds like I will probably leave the serpentine. The worst thing about the serpentine is there is only about an eighth of an inch of clearance between the alternator and the battery. I've been sort of planning to put a gell battery in the trunk to solve this.
I also am wondering about using an electric fan, also wondering about a clutch-type fan. The previous guy put in an oversized fan, but he had to cut part of the shroud to fit it- not well done. The radiator is a three row copper type, pretty new.
The clutch swingarm was a special ball bearing type, made for the mod. Works real well.
This is my first hobby car. I got to where I didn't like working on cars for a long time, stuck to my motorcycles. But with my new meds (ADHD) I find I don't keep losing my temper

I could be wrong, but to switch to the v-belts you may have to swap the harmonic balancer to a 50oz with the early style offset. If looks are important to you then go ahead and switch. Otherwise, leave it as it will work as well or better. You're not alone with a carb and serpentine on a 5.0L motor (Ford Racing crate motor).
