Things to do while underdash?

RE: Things to do while underdash?
Ok, I have pretty much everything out from under the dash now and pumped to start working on it. The passenger side is in excellent shape and shouldn't need much work. The driver side is a different story, but not horrible.
As you can see, the ignition and headlight units are still in the dash and are the only things slowing me down. I tried the little hole, but I couldnt do anything with the ignition. I removed the **** out of the headlight unit by that little button, but unsure as how to remove the body...

POR 15 the hat area from inside, if you haven't replaced them. You can use a sponge ball on the end of a wire that you can bend like a Uto get to it (maybe I've seen these in the "Eastwood"book)and seal the problem area of the hat. Better now than later.

I used one of those aftermarket plastic sleeves (maybe they made some original one, I dunno) to fit up in the cowl hole, if that is what you are talking about. The driver side one, where the "fresh air" vent is, has been rednecked sealed in the past...
