You will need lots of stuff to do the job right. All of the stuff that needs to be replaced is stuff that is often changed for restomoding anyway....
IMO the swap is easy, every single update is a "bolt in", it can be pricey depending on your source for parts.
Spindles, all springs, tie rod & ends, hubs, drums (disk), wheels, rear axle, engine, tranny, radiator, ..... I think that is about it....
If you have a nice, clean, and nearly rust freeI-6, and want a V-8, I recommend the swap if you are willing to do some work!!

How much do you think it would cost to do it right?

We have a lot of brand new parts in the 66. TexasAxMan has a lot less in his swap. He started with a parts car for most of his components.
I think a thrifty guy could do the swap for $4,000 or $5,000... TexasAxMan has reminded me previously that it can be done for much less, I want to be sure to include this point in all subsequent conversations about the same...
Contrary to the opinions of others, I believe that the swap makes good sense when the 6 cylinder is in great shape to start with... If a person needs to do a bunch of rust repair in addition to the swap, it might not be a good idea to swap with this particular car.
