I'm looking for a '67 Tachometer

Best bet is to watch eBay for these as they do come up now and then. There is a guy who professionally restores and sell them there with great feedback though I don't remember his name right now. Here is one from another auction though. They are never cheap and I've seen restored tachs go for 500+.
I was looking at them last year quite a bit but decided to call Classic Instruments instead and went aftermarket.

I have a saved search on ebay for 1967 parts. I didn't see either of these items when I entered "tach" on the search line. Just after market clusters and wire sets.
I made my own last year for my '67 coupe. I was very happy with the way it turned out and I may do it again. Making my own probably saved me $400 over buying one from Classic Instruments or JME Enterprises.
My '67 convertible has an in-dash clock and a Shelby console in it. It has a small tach in one of the holes in the console, along with an amp gauge. I'm thinking I think I'd like to get an original tach for the big hole in the cluster, then move the oil pressure gauge to the console hole.
Knuckles - I like the one you came up with. I'll probably buy that one. New gauge on an old school face - Brilliant!!

As has been mentioned, original tachs are expensive. Also, you can't simply drop a factory tach into your non-tach cluster. You need both the OE tach cluster and an OE tach dash wiring harness.
The easier and cheaper way to do it is to pick up a tach to mount in the location where you'd normally have a clock. Most 67-68 cars didn't come with clocks, and working OE clocks are more expensive than OE tachs, so this is becoming a common mod.
I hacked a repro Jeep CJ tach into my '67 dash and it looks fantastic. However, there is now a company based out of Australia that makes tachs that will bolt into the stock clock location without any grinding. They're pretty easy to find on ebay. This is what I'd recommend.

Starfury.. Mustangs Unlimited is also selling those small Australian tachs which fit in the clock location. Not sure if they sell them on their site (I hate their site) but I've seen them resell those tachs on eBay.

About the small tach in the center (clock) hole..... been there, done that. That's what I originally did with my coupe before I built my custom cluster. What I learned was not to purchase the 8K dash. Its too small and the numbers are too close together to be of any real use. The 6K would have been a better option.
I have a small tach mounted in my Shelby style console. Its more visible in the console than I remember it being in the center hole of the instrument cluster.

the link to the ebay tach i posted will work fine once you screw it into place, because it has the upgraded wiring that doesnt need to be wiring into the gauge wiring harness. but its 3 times as much as those little clock replacement tachs
i have an original clock (doesnt work of course) and ive thought a few times of replacing it with those tachs. dont think ill do it though even though the clock could get me some nice money even though it doesnt work

OOH, let me get back to you on this. I have 3 NOS speedo's and 4 NOS tachs for mustangs in original factory boxes somewhere in my shop. I dont remember which years but I want to say 67-68 but then they could be 69 all the way to 70'something.
I have original dash clocks too, all working.
I dont know if you will want to buy these though because they will not be cheap. I have quite a bit invested in my spare parts collection and as much as I'd like to help you I'm still going to have to price them accordingly, I didn't buy them cheap either.
If interested then let me know, you realize this is a rare part your asking.
