Default drum brake rebuild nad running front brakes in back(?)

anyone know of a good source for a drum brake overhual kit or the like? my rear brakes are a mess and i figure if im going to rip em all apart to replace shoes and wheel cylinders, might as well redo the rest.

second thought came to mind, any one used the front drums/shoes on the rear? would they just bolt together? i just put discs up front and i have the front drums just kinda sitting around now. im thinkin that that extra size could give me some extra stopping power..or mabeye im completly off on this on.?

Napa can get most of the drum brake parts you need.

i did end up calling them. does the lower return spring end have to be bent at all? i replaced one of the springs before, and it kept slipping outa the shoe.

anyone know anything about putting larger drums in the rear? only differnce i see is the backing plate might have to be cut to fit the rear axle instead of the spindle.

As for the first, the spring was the wrong one, was bent, or installed improperly.

As to the second, front brake backing plates have no provision for emergency brakes. 69-73 351 and larger cars had 2.25x10 rear brakes.

That and the rear shoes are different size and like 2+2 said they are made for the e-brake.
