Default Rear end Hog Head

I just got a rebuilt hog head. It has 10 bolts and I am taking out the old and putting this other one in. Anyways. What am I going to need to get this back up to running condition?
Gasket? type of oil and how much? and how much torque do I need to put on these bolts?

thanks

Is the hog head supposed to be the 3rd member?

Well, I always use a new gasket and new copper washers. Seal the gasket with Permatex non hardening aviation or similar. You'll also need the anti chatter additive if you have a clutch type limited slip (Equalock, Traction-Loc).

Yea, thats what we used to call it in the 60's. I used silicone instead of a gasket and used 85-90wt gear oil. I hand tightened them to about 20lbs. Didn't use a torque wrench.

I used a gasket and The Right Stuff gasket maker on each side. Dries faster than normal silicone RTV and is more oil-resistant.

I believe most 8" and 9" rears take about 2.5qts of fluid.
