Have you checked out Randall's Rack? It might be a bit more than a few of these but from what I have understood, it's far superior (better in the long run). No experience with it however so I can't say for sure.

Which rack setup has the tightest turning radius?

Default unisteer turning radius

New design unisteer rack touches steering stops during right and left turn; Unisteer turning radius is same as OEM box on my 67.

Alignment shop must center rack tie rods properly to get full turning radius.

Did not have to trim tie rod ends on my unisteer.

Keep in mind there are pros and cons of power box vs manual box vs power rack vs manual rack. In a perfect world you could test drive each.

Default Now thinking otherwise

Well I am now contemplating moving to a 16:1 box (manual) with a roller idler arm. Anyone have this set up? Thanks Oak

I really like the manual steering with the 16:1 box. I dont have a roller idler arm though.

My friend has manual steering on his 68 with the roller idler arm and he likes it.

Just a quick update, I went with a brand new flaming river box and a ball bearing idler arms, it is much much better, still a little hard to steer at low speeds but anything other it is excellent Oak

Curious.
I had to grind OEM box to clear headers.
Ground top near box adjusting dust cover.
the oem box sits too close to engine at top of box.
Does flaming rivers give more space between engine and box?

Default 351 or 302

Well I only have a 302 not a 351 and I have no clearance problems at all, I can take pics if you need them? Let me know Oak
