How to install a crossfow radiator in a 65/6 mustang
I did this on a 66 coupe I own. I will also mod my 65 like this when I get there. I have had it for a year and always meant to write it up.
65/6 radiator alteration by me. This applies to an HO water pump configuration.
Bottom mount is made from 1/2" square tube and 1.5"x1.5" angle seen here. They are attached with tech screws. Tech screws are a self tapping fine thread screw with a lot of bite. Not recommended for thin sheet metal.

On the bottom mount are rubber radiator mounts taken from a chevy truck in the junkyard. I don't recall what style.
The side mounts are made from 1" x 1/8" flat strap bent to take the rubber mount.
The radiator was purchased from Street or track. I got the model number from http://www.universalpartsinc.com/detail.asp?part=CR9622
here Universal Parts, Inc. You can get the same radiator with a built in oil cooler. Cross flow is the way to go for this application.
My water pump set up is a serpentine. The rad support was cut to match the radiator opening. The system holds about 3 gallons plus or minus.

I did something similar, tying to upload pic but photobucket won't up load them. What I like is what you did to remove the compressor. I have mine there so the belt will work, but no ac. Would you happen to have clearer better pics for the relocation of the tension.
