Default Mustang Unlimited Carburetor

Does anyone have experience buying rebuilt carburetors from Mustang Unlimited? My Grandfather is talking about one. It would be the 2 barrel for the 65 289.

I'm not really sure about the 2 barrel but I will never buy a rebuilt 1 barrel from them ever again. Pure junk.

I'd say go an find an autolite 2100 (the 300cfm version) and rebuild yourself
it's really not that hard to do

I only deal with MU if I have to. They are local for me so that's why it makes it just easier sometimes.

Thanks for the information. Honestly, I don't think we need another carb, but he does, because he cannot adjust it to run as slow as he could like without it beginning to want to die. I think he is just trying to idle it down too low. I was just asking, because he wanted me too.

As for why we don't just rebuild one, I am beginning student teaching and do not have time for much of anything right now, and he just says he is too old to learn.

OkBrent - Thank you for the generous offer, but I am going to decline.
