Default Mustang fold down part.

I'm over in the UK and I'm after a part.

It's the piece on 67 ,68 fastback rear seat fold down. I want a piece of bright ware that goes around the edge, the piece I want is the the very back piece that goes in the the boot and the trap door catch goes onto.

The rest is fine but this one piece is missing. I don't want to buy a hold new lot just for that bit.

If anyone can help, with a supplier, used or what ever, or even an alternative solution, most of this isn't seen anyway and the car is black inside, so stuff can be hidden easily..

Thanks......

Glazier/Nolan might have one lying around. These pieces were flashed, so it'll need replating. That piece was dropped in 68, Ford just stapled the carpet to the rear edge of the panel, I kid you not.

Default Thanks for that.

If Ford dropped that part for 68 that would explain why I haven't got one on the 68 Fastback.

I've got a 67 Fastback and a 68, so I was assuming the 68 had this part too. I will have a look at working without it. Thanks again for that information, the carpet is just stapled around the rear part..

That would be show-correct. Ford made all sorts of changes to save a few bucks after the UAW strike.
