will 67 mustang strut rods fit in a 65 mustang
Well my car is lowered quite a bit also shelby uca drop and i had problems with the front tires hitting the fenders even with the fenders rolled their close and will touch. So i got the ron morris lower control arm adjusting kit. I welded them in and looks like they will work great. But i found out the 65 mustang has non adj. strut rods so they will most likely need to add spacers on the upper control arms to adjust the caster. I really dont want any spacers in the uca to bring the tires in as far as possible. I know im going to need some spacers in the upper control are due to i have the lock blocks for the lower control arms, just dont want to have them add more to get my caster adj. I was reading and found on the net that a guy used 67 mustang strut rods on a 65. I know they make aftermarket strut rods but $250 no thanks dont really have that kind of extra money. I also know i could make a set but dont really have all that much time either and in the end would be better off buying a set.
So does anyone know if you can in fact use 67 strut rods on a 65 mustang?

No.
You can buy greatly improved from stock adjustable arms for the 65 from here:
www.streetortrack.com
Which you don't want to pay for. I also believe you can get plans from dazecars.com on how to build your own.

The mounting fixtures (aka bolt holes) are different between my 65 and my 67
I couldn't take my 65 adjustable rod of the car and bolt it onto my 67 or visa versa because of it.

It can be be done and has been done by a fella named Walt Hane just outside of Denver for many many years with excellent results. Here is a link http://www.eps-hane.com/techtips4.html He has been modifying and racing mustangs longer than most of us have been alive. It is actually a pretty trick set up.
