front/rear discs on a 74 power assist master cylinder interchangability???
I have a 1956 ford F100 with disc brakes up front and in the back. The master cylinder is from a 1974 mustang power assist but the master cylinder is disc/drum. I'm looking for a master cylinder that is for a vehicle with dual discs. With older cars I know alot of the master cylinders are interchangable and am hoping I can just get a master cylinder off a different application and just bolt on, bleed and go... Or if anyone knows of any aftermarket one that would work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks

97 ford explorer is disc/disc and cheap too $35 its the light weight aluminum with the plastic res tho so if your looking for original look then it wont work for you. you can also try a 84 mustang svo its disc/disc but it has 1 1/8" bore so it might be a bit too firm on the pedal

the 97 explorer is on the fender side ports and it is metric but adaptors are easy to get ags the same company that makes polyarmor brake lines make them blf-31 and blf-33 to convert the metric fittings to 3/8-24 for a 65-66 mustang
