I bought a 65 mustang "pony" and the vin is showing up as 6T07T252405 on the fender apron. However on the title is states 1965 Ford Mustang. All the numbers match in the vin and title except the first. The title states GT07T252405. Any thoughts as to how or why. I believed the first number to always represent a year. thank you

Typo; somewhere along the line the 6 was replaced with a G. Sounds like you'll have to make a trip back to your DMV.

Yeah the dmv goofed on it.

Your correct, the VIN should start with a 5 for a 65, you may have a 66 and the title wording got goofed up somewhere?
