When reinstalling the valve body, the shift lever contacts a pole/valve the moves with the shift mechanism. Does the shift pole go behind this pole/valve, or in the first groove of it? I put it in the first groove of it because it only seems to move that way. But i don't know if i did it right or what.

Also, the kickdown lever is supposed to contact a spring pole thing. I THINK i put it in place but there is no way to tell because i cant see it. There is a pole that connects to the kickdown lever and goes to a threaded part outside of the transmission. Is this threaded part supposed to be able to turn freely or should it be firm in place? Mine is firm in place

check around on utube for video about c4 valve body installs...I remember seeing a video where a guy had the levers already activated so u could feel when they connected
