AN Hose End Fittings

Can someone school me on the sizes on these type of fittings?
-6, -8....what sizes are these?
What size fits a normal braided fuel line?

Think of AN sizes as being in 1/16 of an inch: -3AN = 3/16", -4AN = 1/4" and so on.
