Fan Shroud: 1965 Mustang Coupe 200 I6 Motor

Newest Update:
My car is in the shop right now having the head and valves redone. Having gone through sooo many radiators and sooo many overheats took it's toll. The heads were badly warped and that tweeked out the valves.
Lessons learned:
I understand wanting to keep the car looking as stock as possible, but some things weren't that good back then, namely, stock radiators. I cheaped-out and kept buying O'Reilly radiators which kept blowing seals, and now I am paying a very expensive repair bill because of it.
Had I bought a Champion Aluminum, or equally comparable or better radiator, I wouldn't have this problem today. Perhaps for weekend warriors a stock radiator may be okay, but mine is a daily driver in heat, averaginf 80 miles per day.

You might have seen the most improvement with the 6 blade fan. I have a 6 cyl with factory air and the 6 blade steel fan came with a/c cars. I still have many issues to solve, but the cooling system seems to perform well and I have not started on it yet.

I agree with you. The two biggest improvements were going to a six blade fan and the radiator shroud. I see a lot of pictures of Mustangs running v8's with no shrouds and you got to wonder how hot the car runs on hot days in bad traffic...
