yup sorry i am french speaking...i mean that a buy a 68 fastback and it come with a rebuilt 289. i disassemble all the engine to make sure. now i need to resassemble the engine. but i will need a fresh paint and not all the parts are the same blue ! So i want to paint it back like original. So when i finishing to resassemble the engine did i paint all the engine and the bolt or i need to mask every bolt on the engine ?

nothing wrong with Dupont paints, or PPG. I use R&M at work. Whatever you do dont cheap out you will regret it in the future. but the regular paint line not a value line. if you do go single stage check out R&M paint line called UNO it has a lifetime warranty but color choice is limited compared to their base coats

and how do you like the R&M paint ? Same quality of the dupont and PPG paint ?!

if you want it exactly like original, install the intake, oil pan, valve covers and timing cover and paint it . .

the bolt that holds the fuel line tro the water pump does not get paint.

if i am not doing a car that will be jufged for originality, i often do not paint the intake, oil pan, valve cover or water pump bolts.

a 64 threu 67 are dark blue.

i want it like original but it's not a car who will be judge for a concours show !

you said 64 - 67 dark blue but also my 68 ?

and what is the best kind of paint to match closer the original blue !
POR15 , dupli-color ?
