Default flexibility and patience is key

My how things can take a turn when you don't expect it. I've farmed out some interior work while I was focused on paint and electrical. Had the rear seat and door panels reupholstered to match the front (Cerullo) seats. Weeks turned into months. Finally after 4 months got the call to pick up my rear seats. They look great but one subtle problem, the brown trim on the door panels was lighter then the brown I chose (specifically endurosoft ECL-019, sable brown). Was told this was probably a difference in the dye lot. The difference is noticeable and a "bull ****" flag needed to be thrown. Though at the time this was a major disappointment, I then realized the carpet, kickpanels and dashpad hadn't been ordered or painted yet, so its a simple color change on my end. Did some research and looks like the color used was Toffee (ECL-018), and honestly, its really not that bad. My bet, the manufacturer sent the incorrect color because the SKU #'s were clearly known when my upholsterer took the job.

Lesson learned, be flexible, be patient. Even the best laid plans get up ended.
