Default pine sap on top

I was washing my car this past weekend and noticed that there is a spot about the size of a 50 cent piece on the top of my 06 vert. where pine sap has fallen on my car. I haven't noticed it up until now, and I think it's been there a while. I was scared to try anything but liberal scrubbing to get it off because I didn't know how bug and tar remover or something like that would affect the coating on my top. Is there any way to get this off or is it just there for good?

Thanks

I had to get some tree sap off a canvas boat cover and used detaured alcohol and it came right off, I bet it would work on your top. Also, alcohol based hand sanitizer would probably work. Hope it comes off... nice car by the way!

I'll have to try that, and thanks for the compliment.
