Default axle shaft removal

Guys just got here--- I have an Mustang 8.8 rearend , don't know the year ... I need to replace the axle bearings how doI take the shafts out. BTW it's for a 51 Forfd Woodie w/a 351 Windsor/AOD. Oh yea where can I get new dust covers or are they called backing plates?

Default RE: axle shaft removal

-Remove the cover
-Remove pinion shaft lock bolt
-Withdraw pinion shaft
-Push the axle shafts inward slightly and remove the C-clip
-Pull the axle shafts straight out slowly
