Yeah it's a higher gear. 2.97 or 2.66 (Viper spec) as opposed to 3.35 on the T-5 that you have. The 2.97 might not be quite as detrimental if you have some mods and you can always swap your rearend gears to help compensate for it. I'm fairly certain that onceFord put the T-56 in the Cobras, they bumped the rear from 3.27s up to 3.55s.
