Default 1996 GT Instrument Cluster replacement options

Hi,

The odometer and tripometer went out on my 1996 GT instrument cluster. I understand the 96-98 are the same however would a 99-04 with digital odometer be a possible conversion? Do I have any other options than the stock cluster? I haven't had any luck finding an aftermarket. Does anyone recommend a used cluster? Seems like I'd be getting into the same situation eventually.

Thanks,

Eric.

As far as I know its plug and play thing, you just have to match the speedo gear to that cluster if its different so that the speed is correct. Also the 99+ clusters have some cool diagnostic features about them and are worth it. If anything get a Saleen cluster

I will call the Throttle Stop tomorrow and ask them, they know for sure, they are helping with my build on my 95' Mach 1 [sm=burnout.gif]

Great! Let me know what your shop has to say. If you get a chance to ask them is there any way to repair these gauges? I've heard it is a plastic gear failure that a shop can address.

Thanks Eric,

Eric.

PS: Sounds like an echo.
