Default Running wires though firewall?

I have a 2000 V6 and am wondering where is the easiest and best place to run wires through the firewall into the engine compartment. What do you guys do for subs, fogs, and other accessories? Any accurate or detailed descriptions would be awesome. Even pics if you can. Thanx in advance. I looked for about 10 minutes, and didn't have a clue?

Poke a hole threw the rubber boot on the drivers floor to the left side.If not just drill a hole and put a grommet in it and your all set

Thanx guys. So if I see some rubbery spongy black material I can be assured that there is no framework behind it?

Uuuummmm.............. ya,you could, but its not that hard to look and see anyways! It might have something right on the outside such as wires that could get hit by the drill or whatever you make the hole with.I wouldn't ever drill a hole without looking. The steering shaft boot does work but its kinda in the middle of no were if ya know what I mean.when the wires run there is looks sloppy IMO.The easiest thing to do is drill a hole right under the brake fluid reservoir and put a grommet in it.
