Default c/c plates with springs?

I know this has been asked a million times but, are caster/camber plates required if i want to drop my car about an inch or inch and a half with some springs? what exactly do they do? I was gonna lower my car a little bit, enough to get rid of the huge gap between the fender and tire, but i wasnt sure if i needed caster camber plates along with the springs or not. Any help would be great.
Thanks alot,
ryan

Not if you dont drop it to much you dont. They allow the tires to sit straight up,ever see a dropped car that has the tires leaning in big time?Thats cause the plates cant be adjusted enough so it sits with the tire slanted. It will wear the tires very badly and llok like crap

you shouldn't need them for a 1-1.5 inch drop. However, if you drop it 1.5 inches and it settles to 2", then you should keep an eye on the tires

I just lowered mine w/ a cheap set of dropzones. It says it lowered it down 2 inches, but not sure-forgot to measure before. I think the back went down, but the front doesnt look to be a full 2 inches. Anyway, i put c/c plates on just because. As long as you can get your tires aligned, thats whats important. I put mine on becuase as long as i had it all apart, i figured why not. You could probaly get away w/o having them, but it will suck if you end up needing them. Good luck
