Motor swap
Hey whats up, i want to buy 1999-2004 mustang GT with a whole lot of miles or maybe no engine at all, and putting a new engine in it. I want to keep this as cheap as possible, so i was wondering if i bought this crate engine

could i bring it and the car to a local shop and have them install it? will i need a kit or other parts to complete the install? Thanks. Also if i bought a 1999-2004 stang v6 would it be able to hold the new engine. I would think the tranny/ rear end would not work but hey if it does i could save on insurance

Don't start with a V6, there's too much 'unseen' to upgrade to make it work.
Also, the $3800 you'd drop on that isn't going to get you anywhere without a LOT of additional parts and labor... especially for a meager 340 hp. Get a 99-04 GT, put a good supercharger on it and you'll have far more power and saved a LOT of money and time.
