2000 mustang O/D light blinking with tune, off when it is stock
Hi, new member.
I have a 2000 mustang GT auto. I got 4:10 gears and got the Bama tuner a couple years ago and always noticed that the gears shifted VERY rough after the tune. I only put a couple thousand miles on the car since then.
The O/D light always goes on and starts flashing after driving for about 30 seconds. I recently read that the light means the transmission is having problems so i put it back to stock and the light went away and the tranny shifts VERY smoothly. My car only has 75k miles on it.
Does this sound like i need a new tune? I am moving from cali to MS in a month and have a long trip ahead. Should i keep it stock and take the odometer hit or try to get a different Bama tune from American Muscle?
btw only mods on the car are K&N intake, gears, and pipes.
all advice appreciated.

Hey Chris - (Replied to your other thread) I assure you this is not the temple of doom, (Kali-Maaaa!) With the 4.10's on an auto this is pretty characteristic - Almost jarring right? Most if not all Ford auto's are like this (I just picked up a 14 EB F150) and until it comes up to temperature its like getting rocked in the driver seat. The Bama Team should be able to dial this back some for you as I know what this is like and it can be pretty uncomfortable. Quick fix! Shoot them a call and they'll get you set up!
