Just a quick warning about moding your engine
Hello all, just a quick warning to anyone putting some serious mods in they're new engines, that the Tremec- 3650 is only rated to 360 ft-lbs of torque, so watch that if you want to keep your warranty on that tranny.

The Tremec 3650 is plenty fine til around 500 hp/torque. After that it's dicey.

Personal experience. Look at the 05 Saleen S281sc. It is rated at 400 hp and 420 torque and utilizes the 3650. And Tremec stands behind it. I have a quite a bit of experience with the 3650, and it is A LOT stronger and better than the T45 used in the mustangs til mid 01. If I was running a T45, I would be nervous if I was making 450 hp/torque. But at 500 hp in the 3650, I wouldn't be concerned. I am running 450 lbs of torque in my 01(it has the 3650) and it is doing great. -And should continue to do so for 100k+ miles or more. The bottom line is the 3650 can take quite a bit of punishment, and keep on going.
