BRENSPEED

Thanks for post.

Today, Sunday, we went 12.68@107.20 with the addition of the Steeda pulleys and a ripping 1.735 short time. So to date the engine mods on our car are the C&L intake, pulleys, Mac axleback, and our tune. For traction we use ET street tires and Steeda trailing arms to prevent the bad wheel hop. Again the only part removed was the spare tire. We had a really cool day today at about 50 degrees.

I think the next step will be a set of 4.30 gears or long tubes. I have not yet decided which to test first. Thanks for the post and if you have any questions feel free to give me a call at the shop 574.834.7455. We stock all these parts except the tires.

Brent

BRENSPEED, how much total timing is the car running and where is your a/f ratio at under load and rpm?

Brenspeed, what were your hp #'s? That is the fastest time I have with so little mods.

I just talked to Brent on the phone. That car was dynoing 290 rwhp before the pullies. So no, it's probably around 295+. The car dyno'd 269 hp stock. Most of the power was picked up in the tune. He is running a lot of timing, as he needs to to get the rwhp #'s up. Pretty impressive n/a 05 stang.

The potential is there for the 05 Stang to be a great performer with few mods, but it will require Dynoing after most if not all mods to get the true potential out of the parts. That's courtesy of the throttle-by-wire system the new car has. MM&FF ran mid twelves and 1.689 60ft with similar bolt ons, gears and removing the carbon trap! That bugger adds 5hp+ with removing it!

Mine didn't have the trap in it... that made it easy to eliminate.
