I am planning to buy a 09' Mustang GT for my first car. I have recently grown a passion for cars, about a year now, and would love not to only modify the exterior of my Mustang GT, but the engine. From what I have heard, installing a turbo can cost thousands of dollars, and just the ecu tuning its self is extremely difficult. Can anyone tell me the whole process, steps, procedures within installing a turbo and if it is worth it . Manual transmission of course. And, is it possible too tune your own ECU ? Does anyone know how ?

Most people buy complete kits that include everything, even the tuner with a custom tune in it. There are several types of superchargers, turbos, centrifugal, roots and twin screw.
They all work differently and all produce lots of power. You might try searching the forums for supercharger comparisons. I'm sure you will find what you are looking for.
