Default Amsoil 0w20 or 0w30?

I've been reading up on Amsoil lately and bought the preferred customer account. I will be ordering an air filter and various fluids soon.

I know UnleashedBeast has said multiple times that 0w30 is the best for the S197's, but that was before Amsoil made a Signature Series 0w20. I'm wondering if it is better to run 0w20 now that it is available. I will be moving out to Vegas this summer so I was leaning toward 0w30.

Also according to the website, the transmission fluid is the same for both automatics and manuals. Is this correct?

Amsoils 0W20 has been available since at least 2007 which is when I began buying it for my GT. I've been contemplating going to 30W but the decision isn't high on my list of priorities. I don't believe we'd have any concerns with Amsoil 0W30 or any decent 5W30.

I just got the 0-20 put into mine and it seems happy. The guy at the oil change shop claimed it was what he had been putting into 11's. I think there was a slight drop in volume exaust but nothing major. Not to hijack your thread but does anyone know how often this stuff needs to be changed before it starts breaking down? I will put 5000 km's/year on this car max and I wasnt sure if I could get away with changing it every 2 years or not...

Full synthetics are typically good beyond 10,000 miles and Amsoil is touted for even longer drain intervals on most engines; up to 25,000 miles normal duty/15,000 miles severe duty on their ASM oils. From a time standpoint, I tend to be conservative and won't run a full synthetic much beyond 1 year. But that's me. I'd have blackstone labs do an analysis but for the price, I can simply replace the oil.

Ya it's not a big deal or anything I just feel the oil wont be bad only putting on 3000 miles / year. But for $120 bucks it's no biggy once a year.
