Roof rail removal

Anyone know how those two black roof rails come off?
Also do you know if body shops paint with the bumpers off?

TIA sorry if this should go in appearance section.

It's not a separate piece from the rest of the roof. The channel with the rubber trim between the roof and the rail is solid.
