Default 2010 mustang gt with flowmaster exhaust

I want to replace the factory exhaust of my 2010 mustang gt with a flowmaster 40 series exhaust, can anyone tell me how noisy it is from inside the car?

I have this:

http://www.americanmuscle.com/flowma...ck-0510gt.html

They sound great (tone, rumble, deepness) but they aren't as loud as I want them to be. But that could be what you're going for too.

i have those too. i like em, but also wish they were a bit louder. very little drone 1200-1500 rpm, so you will almost never hear it unless accelerating from a stop. these mufflers are based off the 60 series (quiter flowmaster) though

he asked about the 40 series though.

flowmaster markets what they call an american thunder classic that uses the 40 series mufflers. these WILL be louder than the ones jasezero posted.

unfortunently the only 40 series ive had was on a 351w. so its not exactly apple to apples. however it wasn't to loud, but it did drone down low. i actually had mine dumped though(louder) it set off car alarms every time i started it.

i say go for the classics (the 40s) if your getting a set. the 60's (the regular american thunder) are so quiet its like one step above stock, it IS an improvement, but it is still very quiet. unless thats what you want? which in that case go for it.

but then again mine still aren't fully broken in yet, so they may get louder.

If you ever plan to do headers dont get the 40 series cause it'll be way too loud. I have the American Thunder series with longtubes and cams and its still really LOUD. With some resonators welded in I have no trumpeting and no ugly drone.......just sweet muscle car tone.

I have an X-pipe with 40's. It sounds loud when you get into it hard but as far as idling it isn't very loud inside or outside compared to other exhaust set ups. It doesn't drone on the highway and when you're driving at a constant speed.
