you can get it from brenspeed, most estimates are that it is good for 5-10 hp.

With more power on tap at a lower RPM, you'll need to hit 6800 less often to achieve the same results. That is where you gain back ground on motor longevity. It you're hitting redline 20 times per day NA as well as boost, the longevity difference of the motors probably isn't that big of spread. That said, Corky Bell theorized that added boost pressure actually helped negate rod stretch at higher RPM, thus having boost in there was safer in that regard.

Everything I have read states its much cheaper to get to 400 HP via a blower vs N/A. In the end you gotta have a budget.

The route I would go if I chose FI would be the Edelbrock E-force blower which if im not mistake is about $5000. So I will spend a little over that on parts I will be saving big $$ because I install everything myself. But this is slowing turning into a project car where about the only things stock when im done with it is the body itself. I like all engine monsters and that is why I want to build a N/A 4.6 3V that is going to surprise a lot of people. The 3V 4.6 builds torque very well when modded NA and that is why I think I will have quite a bit of fun with it.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think 400 rwhp is pretty tough on a 3v non FI.. Heads cams intake manifold full exhaust... Still don't see those numbers

You are correct.. It's a pretty difficult task and it's not gonna be the most street friendly car at all..

Cut the bs and just go FI. You will save serious cash and have a better car all around. If N/A is a must go with a coyote. The 4.6 is a great little motor....operative word little. The 5.0 is too but a lot better air pump.
