Default My 1978 Mustang II 2+2 "The Skunk"

I posted this on the Introduction board but was told I should probably put it here, too.

My ride is a 1978 Mustang II running a 1991 5.0L H.O. with dual quads on a Weiand 289 hi-rise tunnel-ram.

When I first got this car it had no engine, no transmission, and it was white. I installed the engine and tranny, ported the heads, fly-cut the pistons, built the throttle linkage and tuned the carbs, and did all the bodywork and paint including building the custom rear spoiler and hanging the side pipes.

DRIVETRAIN:
1991 Mustang 5.0 H.O. short block
Sync'd Holley 4160 carburetors (390cfm 4bbl vacuum secondary)
Weiand 289 aluminum hi-rise tunnel ram intake
Custom-ground Delta cam .558/.540”
Fly-cut pistons
Crower titanium valvesprings
Ported GT-40 heads
Pertronix ignition
MSD Blaster II coil
Custom 21-degree advance distributor
Hedmann headers
Corvette side pipes
C4 transmission with B&M shift kit

APPEARANCE PACKAGE:
Factory T-tops
Channeled 1988 Mustang LX Spoiler
Vintage Hilborn-style scoop
Hood modification
1977 King Cobra hatch louvers
John Deere Blitz Black (satin finish) paint with OEM gloss white stripes
Custom Jolly Roger grill ornament and door locks

PERFORMANCE & HANDLING:
8” rear end with 3.50 limited-slip
245/50R15's on Turbine wheels
Rear seat delete, aluminum intake, custom bumpers

Total build cost to date: $2,437
Est. HP: 389 @6300 rpm

All work done by owner except:
Cam grind by Delta Cam, Tacoma, WA
Flexplate rebalanced by Perpetual Balancing, Mukilteo, WA

I'll be kicking around the 5.0 tech section. PM me or add to this thread if you have any questions.

There are build pics on my Cardomain site. www.cardomain.com/ride/803178.

Here's the plumbing for the side pipes. These are Corvette 2.5" glass packs (I believe; they were advertised as such at the swap meet where I found them.) The II is so short that I had to cut the pipes, then run flex tubing back from the collectors, then run it forward again to a hard 90 welded onto each pipe. Kinda weird but I REALLY wanted side pipes with glass packs and it sounds KILLER. Besides, the pipes were only $50 at a swap meet.

And here's me chillin' on the hood last spring, before the side pipes went on.

Default Need headers to replace manifold

I have a 78 mustang but the engine as far as I can tell it's from the late 80s to early nineties. The manifolds on there are d5ze-9431-aa for the left and d5ze-9430-ag for the right. And they sit tight by the engine bay wall. I currently have side pipes running from the shorty manifolds.

I'm looking for a replacement header with the same dimensions so I can slide them into my current exhaust.

I'm having trouble finding anything. I even went as far as trying that new chatGPT which came back with a pacesetter 70-2224 shorty and a BBK performance 1772 shorty but when I search these on Google they seem to not exist.

Can someone please help me find replacement headers shorties that will fit my current exhaust? Thank you in advance
