I posted this on the Introduction board but was told I should probably put it here, too.

My ride is a 1978 Mustang II running a 1991 5.0L H.O. with dual quads on a Weiand 289 hi-rise tunnel-ram.



When I first got this car it had no engine, no transmission, and it was white. I installed the engine and tranny, ported the heads, fly-cut the pistons, built the throttle linkage and tuned the carbs, and did all the bodywork and paint including building the custom rear spoiler and hanging the side pipes.

Here's the plumbing for the side pipes. These are Corvette 2.5" glass packs (I believe; they were advertised as such at the swap meet where I found them.) The II is so short that I had to cut the pipes, then run flex tubing back from the collectors, then run it forward again to a hard 90 welded onto each pipe. Kinda weird but I REALLY wanted side pipes with glass packs and it sounds KILLER. Besides, the pipes were only $50 at a swap meet.

[size=16px]I have a 78 mustang but the engine as far as I can tell it's from the late 80s to early nineties. The manifolds on there are d5ze-9431-aa for the left and d5ze-9430-ag for the right. And they sit tight by the engine bay wall. I currently have side pipes running from the shorty manifolds.[/size]

[size=16px]I'm looking for a replacement header with the same dimensions so I can slide them into my current exhaust.[/size]

[size=16px]I'm having trouble finding anything. I even went as far as trying that new chatGPT which came back with a pacesetter 70-2224 shorty and a BBK performance 1772 shorty but when I search these on Google they seem to not exist.[/size]
