Default T-56?

This goes out to my77stang specifically, has anyone heard of someone swapping a t-56 into a II? my t-5 recently crapped out, and when my dad took it to his friend(an expert on everything mechanical, seriously) he told us he hates t-5's because they break if you put any real power through them and that he would only teach us how to rebuild it and he wouldn't do it himself(probably cause we'll be back alot i'm assuming). So i was wondering if the more sturdy t-56 would swap in. My biggest question is if the bellhousing of my t-5 would fit. The headers and everything is clearanced for it and i would hate do do some more hammering to make a new bellhousing fit.

Default RE: T-56?

You might have to massage your tranny tunnel and make a tranny mount for it.Have you looked at any of the tko trannys.
