Default 78 bolt on swaps.

Hey guys! I don't OWN a mustang, but my uncle's had a 78 Cobra II at his hosue since as long as I can remember. i don't know if they've ever even tried to fix it yet, but I just recently thought it'd be fun to revive that thing. I don't know the exact conditions of the car but I'd prefer to rebuild the 302 in it. I'm also new to muscle cars let alone domestics, so what are some transmissions that I can just bolt onto it without fabrication? it has a 3speed auto right now, but I don't think even the 4speed manual will cut it out for me. also I heard they didn't come with LSDs but is there one that I can bolt onto? along with drive shafts and axles, etc. what do most people do?
