Sorry if this has already been posted...but does anybody have news on the GT500KR? I was reading on stansunleashed but their site is harder to navigate than this? Do we have a set release date and price? Pics? Performance difference?

BTW, who has a larger group Mustangforums or stangsunleashed? Which is better? NO biAS!

I've been quietly watching for word on this one. It could turn out to be another wild goose chase......much like the long-rumored, but still unannounced Boss mustang was/is. But it's an interesting idea nonetheless. Not that it will make any difference to us mere mortals, since a KR model would probably come equipped with an even heftier asking price. But I think a race-ready version of the GT500 could make quite a splash. Built-in factory roll bar, even tighter suspension, and more boost to the supercharged 5.4 ...........

Of course, I think they should hold off until the last year of production for the GT500 under this generation build before bringing it out. Stop production on the standard GT500 and produce only KR's for the final year. Of course, I think it would be quite a revolution if Ford found a way to engineer the Ford GT powerplant to fit into the GT500 chassis. Between the gobs of weight saved with the aluminum block and the added horsepower, you'd have the absolute killer app in mustangs.

Now if they'll just throw in a reshaped rearend for the KR's......say similar to the GT-R concept's, along with a slightly better integrated spoiler shape, then it'd be perfect.
