2008 shelby mustangs

Has anyone heard the rumor that 2008 will be the last year for the shelby mustang?

The Shelby-Ford contract for the GT500 was for 2 years with an option for a third year.

I didn't like paying over MSRP but I'm very happy I bought mine when I did. I was afraid if I waited for the dealer markup to go away I'd lose my only chance to buy a new shelby mustang off the showroom floor. If they drop in value I won't really care, I have the car I wanted and I plan to keep it.
