Actual 2009 Mustang front end?

RE: Actual 2009 Mustang front end?
Good thread.
This is reminding me why I jumped on my new '07 last week.
I really like the current design that came out in '05. I'm 46 years old and the styling cues just pushed all the right buttons with me. All the best of the classic and new in one package. I love it!
Car designs always go through cycles. Some models will really hit a high note. You know, a really pure vision in the design. But then after a few years the company has no choice but to "update" it. Often, not for the better!
I'm not a fan of the severe "edge" design craze that the carmakers all jumped on after the very balanced and smooth organic shapes on the turn of the century designs. Just as I liked my '04 Dodge 1500 Ram way better than the new ones that have come to look like cut gem stones. I was talking this stuff over with a buddy and realized that for '09 I may not like the new Mustangs anymore! When I found my killer deal on my left over '07 that was exactly the way we wanted it for just $18.3k I jumped.
Car design goes through a wide cycle. If you like whats out there now, jump. Otherwise you'll be looking at used ones to fix up later. Personally, after all my years as a mechanic, I am tired of fixing up other people mistakes and accidents. I used to jump into projects like crazy as a younger man. But when you do that you can "see" the hands of the people who have worked on it before you. Often to your disgust at all the jury rigging that was done. So now I look for deals on new left overs when I buy a vehicle.
Its fun to watch my son now. He's 18 and into cars even more than I was back in the day. He thinks nothing of starting to change out multiple ball joints at 9 at night when he has to go to work the next day! He's got nerve. He has two old fox body GTs for projects right now.
I do have to wonder how they can "improve" what they have now.
