Default FS: 1966 Mustang Coupe - Built 5.0 HO Swap!

Year: 1966
Make: Ford
Model: Mustang
Price: $8999
Mileage: 20500
Color: Red
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State/Prov): NC

For sale is my 1966 Mustang Coupe. I picked this up as a project car but just do not have the bandwidth right now to finish it. Fortunately, most of the big stuff has already been done; the car is currently driveable and the engine is super strong.

The details:

Originally 6 Cylinders, now with a built late model 5.0, bored .030 over for 306 Cubic Inches
-eagle forged rods
-stock crank
-Speedpro forged pistons
-Speedpro rings
-comp cams .512/.512 lift 280 degrees duration
-Comp Cams roller lifters
-Comp Cams valve springs
-Comp Cams pushrods
-Crane Cams spring retainers and keepers

Ford 9" Rear end
4 Speed manual (T4)
Period V8 suspension
Disc brake conversion

Some pictures:

The engine is brand new with less than 500 miles on it, still in its break-in period and built by a Ford tech up in Virginia.

Unibody-up resto, I believe it was a AZ car though so there was never much rust to begin with. Has been garage kept since I and the previous owner have owned it.

This car already has a clear NC title, which is a big deal for anyone who has gone through the painful process of trying to get a classic car titled in this state.

Here is a video of the car idling and a mild burnout from the previous owner right after the motor build. This car sounds awesome! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOK6MhGi3y0

What the car needs:
Interior work (comes with stock front seats)
New transmission / driveshaft (currently has a T4 with an unbalanced driveshaft, could stand for a cheap T5 swap)
Mild exterior work if you wanted it to be a show car, nothing at all if you want it to be a sweet driver you can enjoy.

This car sounds awesome, looks awesome, and just needs a home with an owner who has the focus and time to work on it. Comes with a huge pile of spare parts that can be used / sold to recoup some costs. Please only serious buyers, cash only, not interested in trades at this time.

Thanks for looking!

Curious what the selling price was if you're willing to share. I'm looking to sell my Mustang. Thanks.
