Well, I finally did it!
Hey Everyone!
I am very happy to finally be part of the mustang family.
Picked up a "new to me" 2006 2 dr coupe pony package with the 4.0 on Saturday, and yes it's a 5 speed.
I've been shopping around for the right mustang for almost a year now. I wasn't looking for the fastest thing on the road, nor was I looking for a show car or a classic. I was looking for a good summer DD that had a good fun factor while sticking to a budget. A GT would have been nice (yes I have test driven several lol) but my budget was pretty concrete and I'm not one to deviate from it.
I got a good deal on the car and couldn't be happier. The body is a 8/10, it has a few little blemishes, but nothing serious. Typical underbody surface rust for a 10 year old car but its solid. I will spray some rust inhibitor on it just to be safe. Leather interior is immaculate, no tears or rips, very comfy and supportive seats.
I know the 4.0 gets a bad rap but honestly it moves pretty good and has no problems doing burnouts....but I do have plans for this 100% stock car (dual exhaust, CAI and tune).
Now it's just a matter of waiting until spring to get behind the wheel

Congratulations! I just got mine in December and could not be happier. The V6 is plenty for me; I didn't want more power but the convertible was mandatory.
I went to my first cruise-in over the weekend and several of the guys with lots of horsepower had stickers on their windows that said, "Let me guess; License and Registration?" That sort of sums it up. :-)

Thanks guys, I am pretty excited, took it out last night for an emissions test. Luckily with the warm weather we've had lately there was no snow or salt on the roads.
The thing really does have some good get up and go. I'm use to driving a half ton as my DD (2013 F-150 5.0) so this thing feels like a go-kart in comparison.
Very happy so far. Waiting for spring is going to be tough.
