Will I loose HP with a 18 inch rim on my GT?
I have a 2001 Mustang GT and I wanted to put the Saleen Replica's on 18x9 on the fronts and 18x10's on the rear.Will this take away some of my HP or Slow me down any?Or put a strain on my engine of cruising in a Higher RPM Level? Can some one please help me Thanks Phil

If they weigh more you will lose some performance. If you get a bigger rim get a smaller tire so it doesnt mess with your RPM's. I think its called plus 1 or sumntin like that.

Yeah 18 Saleens are probably the finest for the 99+ models, and with the proper tire match, you wont loose any performance, but you will gain appearance. Whatever you do, anything bigger than 18 inch rims on the stang is not cool - leave that for the ricers.

LOL I Know I hate to see a Mustang messed up it aint a rice burner its American Muscle!!!! Does anyone Kno what kind of tire i need to keep me from loosing hp on my GT When i get the Saleen and one thing Will the Rub my Stock Suspension? and I dont like them to look Stupid i guess its the Offset when they stick off the sides. LIKE TO KEEP A STEALTHY LOOK A HOT LOOK NOT A JACK LEGED LOOK LOL THANKS GUESS I NEED ANYHELP YOU CAN GIVE ME.

No you wont have to worry about rubbing your suspension. Just get some BF Goodrich tires (because they last longer than pirellis and nittos) that fit with your new 18 inch rims.

If you get BFG's drag radials they wont last longer than the Nitto's at all. BFG's use a soft compound rubber that stays soft with out heating. Nittos use a hard compound that you have to heat to get soft. The Nitto's will last much longer.
