Converting a 4 chambered into a 2 chambered easily...
I'm not sure if the above is do-able, but I've seen some Mustangs that have their pipes come out just underneath the door. I was wondering if it attained by shortening the pipe and obviously putting in an elbow? Will I be cutting out any chambers by doing this? I really don't have the money to buy a legit one now, but can I make an exhaust system that will sound a bit throat-ier and provide a bit more power?
By the by, it's a '96 GT 4.6L..
Thanks all!

Okay....What about the rest of what I said? Do I have to do anything else besides chop it where I want the bend and extend it to the trim? Will it help the performance?
Thanks!

Longer pipes are worth more for TQ, shorter pipes better for HP, but on such a low hp car as it is, I doubt you'd see any difference.
Where do you want the pipes to exit? Right infront of the rear tires?

It is a low HP car indeed. I have done small things to help, cold air, taken out the air cond., etc.
Yeah, I'd like the pipes to exit right in front of the rear tires...

Should just be able to cut your mid-pipe before the mufflers and have someone bend ya some pipe to dump it out the sides then.
