Question before i buy my Exhaust
I have a 95 5.0 stock. I want that deep loud sound you get out of these cars. I am considering flowmaster 40's, 3'' exhaust, h pipe and new performance cats.
Is this a good set up for deep sound?
Where do you get good deals on this?
Can i do this system in my garage? I dont have a welders.
Do i need to change out the cats or are the stock one ok?
Thanks for any help for the noob

My buddy has a 95, and runs flowmaster 40's with a o/r h, and it sounds awesome. It's all 2.5", and very deep and aggressive.
Don't know where he bought the stuff, but he did the install in his garage with basic hand tools.
I say forget the cats, and go with a o/r h if you want it to sound truly aggressive.

Go on youtube and type in exhaust notes for your car. I have Pypes full exhaust with no cats, it sounds great! 3 inch exhaust is not needed unless making high horse power. you'll be fine with 2.5 inch exhaust. You can find good deals on americanmuscle.com and latemodelrestoration.com. You can also install a full exhaust at home but it can be a pain and you'll be able get away with the clamps the manufacturers give you.
