well i guess i have only 2 other suggestions for you at this point.

1. try a longer belt, the gap between the narrow part of the sc belt is huge. when my sc belt wrapped around the tensioner pulley, it was less then a inch from hitting the other end of the belt (the straight end from crank to sc pulley). this may give you more room.

2. talk to the guys in the sc section on corral. back when i was sc, i was one of the few people in there NOT running the 8" crank. im sure on of them could tell you exactly what the issue is.

Funny no one has came up with anything... Just me another guy understand what I'm talking about... Lol he says his s/c belt come real close too
