How much HP do you expect with my setup!
Hello everybody,
This is my first post the this forum
I do have Cobra 93 #1153
I want to know how much HP/TQ will i gain with the following setup!
- Vortech v3 SCI standard kit
- Vortech S/C pulley 3.0, 4.60 in. drive pulley and 8.00 in. crank pulley
- BBK TB 70mm
- BBK mass air 80mm for 30 injectors
- trick flow 30 LB injectors
- Bassani equal length header
- Bassan x pipe
- Bassani cat back
- Cobra GT 40 intake
- aluminum driveshaft
- flex black magic fan
- ram HDX clutch
- GT 40 heads iron
- trick flow fuel pump 255
Do i need to add or change anything to gain the max HP/TQ!

Swap the 30lb objectors for 42lb
Get a 3.8l Taurus electric fan, not a black magic flex fan
skip everything bassani... Get bbk or mac 1-5/8" to 2.5" long tubes, H-pipe or prochamber, and a better catback. I prefer SLP Powerflo's
BBK mass air is a piece of ****, get a 75mm or larger PMAS, and get a dyno tune.

Damn dude, my car makes 5lbs of boost with a 3.33" pulley and 6" crank pulley. You got a 3" pulley and an 8" crank pulley? How much boost does that make? And yeah, you need to go bigger on the injectors and get a tune.
Just wondering, where do you feel the boost kick in with that set-up?

I just want to make around 8 LB of boost, my S/C is the basic one V3 SCI.
In this case with pulley size should i go for ! I will use the same injectors 30, basically i do not use the car for racing, thats why i don't want to go for bigger injectors & tune for the time being.

I have a dyno session scheduled for the 11th of March. I have a new sci kit too. I ordered the 8 rib 3.12 pulley pack with the 6.87 crank pulley. I may be overshooting the mark with the 3.12 pulley but, we will see.
What gets me is they claim the si kit is 8-10 pounds of boost. You can order the same pulleys for the sci kit the si kit uses BUT, the si flows more cfm than the sci. So it shouldn't make the same boost? Anyways, I went for the 3.12 pulley instead of the 3.33 that the si uses. I know it is going to make more power than the shortblock will probably be able to handle either way but, I didn't like the fact that I had to spin it to the moon to make boost. I went with the smaller pulleys to build boost earlier in the rpm range so I could shift a little sooner and still make good power. I am banking on the tuner lowering the timing enough in the higher rpms that it doesn't make no more than 475 hp or so on the dynojet.
Here is a thread link to my new motor build. https://mustangforums.com/forum/5-0l...he-sequel.html

How much boost do you think i will get with the 3.0in & 8.0 in pulley on the SCI V3 !
Which fan do you recommend and can give max cfm ! like what Addermk2 sied Get a 3.8l Taurus electric fan !
the weather in my country is very hot + 120F in the summer

I got the Taurus fan. It fits really well with the shroud of it covering most of the radiator fins area without having to trim anywhere. I also live in Bama so, it gets pretty warm here too and the fan holds up well.
3in and 8in crank, I would be afraid to say because I don't know much about it. With 30s I would think you would run out of fuel way before you would find out.

Yeah, the Taurus fan is nice.
With the 8" crank pulley I calculated around a 3.8" pulley if turning the car 6 grand. I am not for certain if Vortech makes one that big. I know they got the 3.6, which should have you around ten or so. With the 3", I would think you would be at the limits of the supercharger seeing how it maxes out at 17psi. (so Vortech claims) With a powerpipe, you would be making more than that.
Really with a powerpipe and the stock pulleys the sci comes, you could probably get close to 8. Mine made 5 without a powerpipe, 76mm pmas, 70mm tb and a decent flowing top-end for a 302.
