04 mustang gt opinions and advice
Took my car to the mechanic and my cataylic converters are clogged/bad.
Should I replace them with the stock parts
or should I replace them with something better.
This car is a daily driver at a 149k miles. I'm assuming an off-road is off limits because of imission purposes.
What type of after market h-pipe (if thats what it would be called in my scenario) would provide the best sound and even power(yes I know 2v might gain .0025rhwp) from the rest?
Oh ya, the cheaper the price the better too! It seems like getting a off/road would be the cheapest route. Is it possible to pass smog with them? Will off/road cause a check engine light?
My car is back to completely stock. No tune, No intake, no nothing except I don't have mufflers.
Thanks guys

I'm not entirely sure, but I don't think you would be able to pass your emissions test without cats. Have you looked at what it would cost to order a pair of cats and have the shop replace the old ones? If you have access to a welder, this may be something you could do yourself to save some cash.
