So on Sat, April 11 they are going to auction off a 2010 GT500. I got my catalog today, and while it doesn't say it is "number 001" it says it will be the first available for sale...
I'd rather have the first production #, but since it's for charity I'm sure it will go for several hundred thousand dollars!
I'm not too crazy about the nose on the new GT500. It reminds me too much of that ugly catfish nose on that body kit we've seen.
But the color of this car, Kona Blue with white racing stripes, was chosen personally by Carroll Shelby, read about it, and the 2 S197 concept cars from 2003 that they are selling, here:

Should be a high dollar auction and I understand the feeling with the "Rage" mustang and the ugly front that stang has but the GT500 front is not nearly as exaggerated as the Rage and IMO look great when you look at the car as a whole..... I really want one of the new GT500's.....who knows......maybe it will become a real possibility!?
