So someone decided to run into my car and destroy the bumper, fender and hood... It's at the body shop getting fixed up but neither me or the shop can find a new hood. Anyone know where I can look? Saleen says they don't have any in stock and no telling when they will ever get more and I've tried several of their dealers and they order them from Saleen so I'm kinda lost on where to look now...

The aluminum hoods are all gone unless you find one on ebay somewhere. Nobody else has them and the are out of production for good. We are working on retooling the fiberglass ones that we had previously offered before the aluminum ones. Don't really know a time frame on this right now but I will try to follow up when I hear something.

You may want to look into an SMS hood if there are no Saleen hoods to be found. Tell the insurance co that is all you will accept for a direct replacement for a hood that is no longer made.

I do like those, where can I find an SMS hood at? The insurance company is ready to settle for pretty much anything I can find... I think they are tired of paying for my rental car lol

To my knowledge SMS does not make the 05-09 SMS/Techco hood. But I can get you a one off Carbon Fiber one that was made for Techco. No hardware or butterfly though, just the hood.
